Shravan Kumar Jamalpur completed his M.Sc in Mathematics from Osmania University in 1992 and followed it up with a B.Ed as he intended to go into the teaching line. He gathered his vast teaching experience of 25 years teaching in institutions such as Methodist Junior College, Abids; Venkatreddy Junior College, Champapet; Vijayanagar Junior College, Hyderabad; G. Pulla Reddy Junior College, Abids; Narayana Junior College, Tarnaka; Alva’s PU College Mangalore and finally arrived at PAGE.
Over the years, Shravan Kumar has developed a very interactive teaching style. He believes that teachers making use of interactive teaching styles are better equipped to access how well students master a given subject material. Two-way communications enable the teacher to make quick adjustments in processes and approaches. He says, “Whereas students often lose interest during lecture-style teaching, interactive teaching styles promote an atmosphere of attention and participation. Make it interesting. Make it exciting. Make it fun. Telling is not teaching and listening is not learning. You need to get under the skin of the student to impart the best possible knowledge!”
Shravan Kumar is an avid reader of books both fiction and non-fiction.
