Jella Harikrishna completed his Masters in Economics from Osmania University and followed it up with a B.Ed. He also qualified in the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) which is based on the pattern of the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC and UGC/ CSIR for Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences subjects respectively (the concept being to maintain a uniform standard of graduate and post graduate teaching throughout the country). Harikrishna came to PAGE after ten years of experience teaching in institutions such as Ravi Junior College, Nalagonda; Principal & Lecturer in Mathrusree Junior College, Yadadri; MasterMinds, Hyderabad; and Tapasya Junior College Hyderabad.
Harikrishna’s clear and concise lecture delivery makes his classes a delight to attend. He focuses on concepts rather than on making students memorize things blindly. He says, “I believe that effective teaching is based on a dialogue between students and instructors, rather than the traditional one-way flow of content from instructor to students.” In this manner, he tries to keep his classes as interactive as possible. He also believes that the onus to learn is not only on the student “Teachers need to be lifelong learners, “he says, “and take advantage of the many professional development opportunities that are available for them to expand their repertoire of teaching strategies. Throughout their careers, teachers must constantly adjust and adapt their approach as they reflect on their past experiences and improve upon them.” His philosophy is seen is the excellent results his students get.
Harikrishna is also a voracious reader and like to relax by watching television.
