Psychology Workshop on Handling and Teaching Adolescents

Managing a classroom full of students, especially adolescents is a difficult task because these students are not only going through academic pressure but a variety of emotional and behavioral changes. This can be very challenging for the teachers, right from managing their concentration to the classroom disciple. This workshop aims at helping teachers develop strategies to handle all this by using scientific theories and proved techniques.

PAGE held a workshop entitled “Handling and Teaching Adolescents” for their 40 strong faculty which was facilitated by Spandana Kommuri along with Megha Pharande, both counselling psychologists who have worked across industries like Education, Corporate and Health. They have worked with adults, adolescents and children; both individually and in groups on various behavioural, educational, emotional and developmental issues like self esteem, marital concerns, developmental issues, academic stress, crises intervention, child sexual abuse, time management and career counselling.

Ms. Kommuri is currently working with TISS (Hyd), Virtusa India and Human Dynamic as a work life coach, counsellor and trainer. Ms. Pharande is working as a counsellor with Kotak Education Foundation.
