PAGE Junior College, Himayatnagar, conducted its Annual Sports Meet at the Government College of Physical Education, Gaganmahal on the 29th December, 2017.The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rev. Sister Elizabeth, Principal, Rosary High School, Gunfoundry. Our Guest of honor was MrsRamanjula, Principal,Oxford Grammar School.
The programkicked off with Sister Elizabeth lighting the torch, and MrsRamanjula unfurling the PAGE flag, and both the guests declaring the Sports Meet open. Both the guests were all praise for PAGE, and were happy that there still remain colleges that conduct such meets.The very first event of 100m & 200m race was flagged off by our special guests, MrSanjeev&MrAmarnath, Physical Directors of St Paul’s& All Saints High School, while Mr Anil, Physical Director, Slate the School, tossed up for the semifinals Cricket match.
Speaking to the Media, PAGE Principal, KVasanthaKumari said that such meets are stress busters which enable students to create a bridge between academics and games thus helping them to strike a perfect balance between the two.The events included Athletics, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Tenikoit, KhoKho& Tug-of-War.
