The PAGE Annual Sports Meet 2016 (Banjara Hills Campus) was held on November 23rd, Wednesday at the sprawling Babu Khan Arena in Kokapet. Approximately 300 students took part in a variety of games such as cricket, football, volleyball, throwball, basketball and kabbadi. This year we decided to felicitate physical education instructors who have dedicated their lives to teaching school children various sports and the spirit of sportsmanship. Our Guests of Honor were Mr Prem Kumar PE instructor from DPS Khajaguda, Mr Srinivas, HOD PE Department, DPS Diamond Point, Ms. Subbalakshmi, PE instructor from DPS Diamond Point and Ms. Bhavna, PE instructor from Sadhu Vaswani International School. After they declared the Meet open, Mr Premkumar took the students through warm up exercises for 15 minutes and after that they were all set for the games. Fierce battles were fought out in the different arenas as the students tried to do their best to win over their rivals teams. Excitement, anxiety, love, hate, nervousness, confidence….all sorts of emotions were expressed by the students. The meet went on from 9am – 6pm when the trophies and medals were awarded to the winning teams and students. The day ended on a happy note with the S3 students being the ones who bagged the most medals and trophies.
