ORIGAMI Workshop for Design/Architecture students held at PAGE Junior College by the NID Alumni on 14th & 15th February 2022

About the Art

Origami is the Japanese craft of folding paper to make two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects. The word origami is derived from two Japanese words – ‘oru’ which means to fold and ‘kami’ which means paper.

About the Workshop

This workshop will introduce students to the basics of origami and the various techniques used. This will challenge the creative skills and put their motor skills to the test! They will also be taught some hacks and tricks regarding the folds of origami. This can be then used to create some more beautiful models.
A series of Design workshops are conducted throughout the academic year to improve students’ aptitude and perspective and heighten their aesthetic sensibilities and abilities.
