Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Must have thorough knowledge of the product or service being promoted
- Contact parents/students by telephone to promote products & services
- Explain the product or service to potential customers
- Deliver scripted sales pitch to the customer
- Adjust scripted sales pitch to meet needs of specific individuals
- Provide pricing details as instructed
- Handle questions
- Generate walk-ins to the campus
- Try to make conversions for products and services over the telephone
- Obtain required information including names and addresses
- Record details including reaction to the product or service offered
- Schedule appointments for marketing staff to meet prospective students & their parents
- Answer telephone calls from potential customers who are responding to advertisements or advertising/marketing activities
- Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction
- Maintain records of data gathered and calls made
- Report daily progress (or maybe even hourly) to the supervising authority
Qualities
- Excellent English language and communication skills
- Familiarity with Hindi and Telugu also
- Pleasant voice and pleasing personality.
- Patience while dealing with customers. Must not be argumentative.
- Ability to gather information and manage it
